Birth sessions are for mamas + their families to relive this incredible experience over again. There's no specific time that these sessions are shot at because babies are unpredictable; whether it's 2:00am or 2:00pm, I'll be there to capture your little one making their grand entrance!

Our time together also does not really have a timeframe, either. As someone who went through 35 hours of labor, I 100% understand that this can take time. During our time together, even when baby hasn't arrived yet, I will get details of everything: the hospital signs out front, the tea kettle on the stove at the birthing center, or even your sweet pup resting his head on daddy's lap if you decide to have a home birth. Every session is different, but I will be able to deliver a minimum of 100 photos.

Because babies are unpredictable, I am on-call specifically for you the week before, the week of, + even the week after your due date! That means if you call me to tell me you're in labor, + you're more than 3cm dilated, any sessions I have that day, or the next day, I will reschedule. It also means that if you call me, + you're in labor, while I'm in the middle of a session, that session will be ending early, so I can focus 100% on you and baby!

While we're together, I do all of the work; you just have to focus on your breathing + focus on that perfect human you're about to meet! Living in the moment is key.

While you're busy focusing on what your body needs to do, it's very easy to forget to have someone else capture the important moments of this journey. So even daddy gets to turn all of his attention and focus on you + your needs. I will handle everything when it comes to capturing this time for you.

I'm also a mom, + I also had my birth experience captured. So, I completely understand what it's like feeling exhausted, angry, excited, + so many other emotions. And it's because I've been there that I am comfortable telling you this:

Fresh 48 Sessions are different than capturing the birth, + for other reasons other than the obvious. A Fresh 48 Session is when I come to the hospital, or wherever you've had your baby, within the first 48 hours after your little one has been born. I capture every single intimate moment that I can: the sweet looks your partner gives you while you aren't looking, the tiny hands grabbing your fingers, etc.

These sessions are also a little more laid-back when it comes to scheduling; I'm still on-call for you, but because your baby will have already been born, + we have 48 hours, there's no dire urgency. Of course, this session is still just as important, + I will make sure I am there for you + your family as quickly as possible.

My portfolio is in black + white because, so far, each client has preferred that style over color; I have absolutely no problem delivering a full-colored gallery.

Fresh 48: $200.00

In order to reserve your date(s), a session fee is required. This pays for the work I do upfront organizing for your amazing day, my time + skill the day of the shoot, + the time it takes for me to cull + edit every single photo afterwards. Because I will be turning away other potential clients, + possibly canceling already-scheduled sessions, in order for us to work together, the session fee is nonrefundable.

Prints, albums, + additional digital images are available for purchase once our session is complete, + you've viewed the finished edits.
