Newborns are perfect the moment they enter the world. They don't need to be all dressed up, posed, + edited to look like a babydoll- they need to be remembered as they are right now! If your little bundle needs to be held or fed for a majority of the session, so be it. If they only want to be in a diaper with a loose swaddle over them, that's perfectly fine, too!
A newborn session with me means that we will be in the comfort of your own home, with my lighting + very little setup. It also means that you will have very little to no direction from me. I will suggest where to stand, or where to put your hands, but these images are meant to be as natural + as true to your family as possible!

I'm a new mom myself, so believe me when I say "I've been there, + I get it!"
You want everything to be perfect, tidy, + ready. I know, + that's okay. But just like toddlers + bigger kids, newborns are still unpredictable. There's a new person in their space, they're being moved around more on this day than they were yesterday, etc. Extra feedings + extra diaper changes are very much to be expected.
But also remember this: you are a brand-new person, too now. Even if this is your third kiddo. So, if you wake up not feeling like putting on your makeup how you originally wanted, then don't. As much as we need baby to be comfortable for these pictures, we also need mama just as comfortable.
If your vision for hair + makeup change, don't stress! + the same goes for any other plan you may have had. I can promise you I will still get those perfect shots.
Lifestyle Newborn Sessions
Lifestyle Newborn Sessions are held in the comfort of your own home or a location of your choice; your little bundle is still warming up to the world, so I firmly believe that having your session in their space is vital. Because newborns have specific needs, these sessions can last up to 3 hours. I do bring some lighting with me, however, it is very important that your home, or the location we choose, has as much natural light as possible.
*If your home does not have many windows/allows a lot of light into your home, other locations are available; some may require a small fee*
As a new mama myself, + a seasoned pet mama, I do not expect your home to be tidy + put together; I would honestly be very impressed if it were all of the time! Lifestyle sessions typically only take place in one, maybe two, rooms in your home for the entire time that I am there. If you are concerned about your home not being tidy enough for my equipment + for me to move around, we'll discuss that during your free consultation + figure out the best space to shoot in, + where we can move everything for the time being.
Session Fee: $450.00
In order to reserve your date, a session fee of $450.00 is required. This pays for the work I do upfront organizing your photo session, pre-session consultation, wardrobe
and styling advice, Mommy (& Me) Makeover, and the time it takes for me to cull + edit every single photo afterwards. Because I will be turning away other potential clients in order for us to work together, the session fee is nonrefundable. It does not go towards any images or products. I offer Collections, as well as A La Carte options, so that I am able to fully customize your day with leaving you with the best products for your individual lifestyle. I offer all of my clients interest-free payment plans to make any experience “budget friendly.”
**Your retainer fee may be split into two payments: half up front, the other half the day of your session!**
Prints, albums, + digital images are available for purchase once our session is complete, + you've viewed the finished edits.
